Wedding Anniversary Cards and Charity Card Project

Well the time is still flying by and I have had a very busy week but don't think I have achieved very much!!  Well, at least I have attempted to tidy my craft room, not to mention the house!  I have also been quite productive in my card making.

I have made 2 wedding anniversary cards this week - one for my friend Anne and husband John and the other for my cousin Agnes and husband Thomas.

Anniversary card made for Anne

Used pearlised card blank, backing paper from Lidl, heart shaped x-cut dies, Memory Box flourish, wooden stamped image, coloured with Promarkers, added sentiment and little heart gems.

Golden Wedding Anniversary card for my cousin ......

Used 8 x 8 scalloped card blank, gold with hearts backing paper, added Memory Box corner die with flowers and gold candi, added Spellbinders scalloped circle for sentiment and added a bow and little gold swans.

Charity Card Project

I have recently been trying to use up old stash and also make use of left over bits and pieces by making small cards to give to one of our local charity shops.  I really enjoy making these and it helps to keep my craft room a bit more tidy!!

Here are a sample of the charity cards made so far ..............

Hoping to make quite a few more next week and also catch up with making inserts for them and then take them into the shop.

HOW TIME FLIES!!!!

I can hardly believe it is August 2013 and I haven't posted since the beginning of the year.  So much seems to have happened in that time including my retirement from the NHS at the end of May.  I have had quite a few holiday breaks which I have really enjoyed, especially staying in St Ives with my sister in the middle of May.   See photos.

The first photo was taken whilst walking along the coastal path from Carbis Bay, where we stayed, to St Ives.

The second photo was taken on the beach at St Ives itself.

Myself and OH also enjoyed a holiday in Eastbourne at the end of June.  Another photo below.

This was the view from the hotel bedroom window

Shortly after returning from St Ives I retired from my work as a Medical Secretary after 31 years service.  After a couple of weeks or so I found myself really enjoying my free time to spend on my hobbies including card making, gardening and meeting friends etc.  Can't beat it!

Below are a few cards I have made recently:

White card blank, Tilly Daydream backing paper, free gingham paper, die cut Tilly Daydream topper, added punched butterflies, sentiment and ribbon.

Hunkydory topper mounted on to 7 x 5 embossed card blank, used frame which was waste from Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles die cut, added sentiment, peel off silver border and candi.

White square pearlised card blank, square blue cardstock, with mounted embossed background made with 3D M-Bossabilities folder.  I used the de-bossed side and inked it with a brayer using blue ink.  Added flower with brad and gem, stamped sentiment and candi.

A I said at the beginning I can't believe how quickly the time passes, especially since I finished working.  I certainly fill my days and enjoy every moment.
